Emo kids have some of the most awesome hairstyles. If you have been searching for your next hairstyle, you need to really consider going emo :-)

Emo hair is easy and expressing. Having some hairstyle that everyone at your school has is stupid and conformist like. Why not do something original and create your own unique emo hairstyle?

It's best to go get your hair cut when it is long so there is more to work with. That's not to say you can't have short emo hair, but ideally you need to start growing your hair out to the bottom of your ears depending on how long you want your bangs. If your a guy, you might want to do the common cut in which your bands are really long and combed to one side, and your back is spikey and shorter.

For chicks, I love long brown hair with blonde / red / etc highlights. You can also go short which is really hawt.

Either way, the emo hairstyles are hot!

Warped Tour 2007 Dallas

It's like 9:30 am and I haven't been awake this early since school got out, but I'm up here in Dallas for VANS WARPED TOUR!

My friend Amanda and I decided to drive up here last night after getting tickets on ticketmaster. It's going to be freaking awesome I have never driven 5 hours for a concert before but this is going to be a good show.

I almost cried when we ordered the tickets last night at 6 it said it could take up to 24 hours for our tickets to be emailed to us and I thought we might not get them in time... So yea we waited for an hour and they showed up, but I was getting so pissed sitting here waiting and thinking they might not come until today at 6!

But yea.. I can't wait... Here are the big name bands for Dallas:

Okay, so me and my friend had an arguement about Emo Phillips. My friend says Emo Phillips is emo. Emo Phillips isn't emo, well, his first name is Emo, but nothing about him is emo. Come awn, he roles with Weird Al Yancovich (however you spell his name), and he doesn't stand up comedy, and he is like 50 years old. That's not very emo, Emo Phillips. He does have an emo name though. I wonder how many emo kids drop his name as like one of their favorite bands. Like.... "Hey Duuude... I was rollin in my Ford Focus with all these band buttons on my cards headliner and like I was totally blasting some AFI next to some prep nuggets, and the AFI wasn't screaming emo enough so I put in my Hawthorne Heights and my Emo Phillips CD's"... Okay.. Too much caffeine.. Anyways.

Psh... So i've been really bored lately without school. All my friends are working but I'm too emo for work :-P. I hate waiting around for my friends :-(

My mom called me and said she saw something on the news about emo kids and suicide, like all emo people were in some sort of cult and our mission in life is to commit suicide. I don't know about you, but I am not planning on killing myself and none of my friends are, or any of their friends are?

It pisses me off that the news says shit like that when they know that only like 1% of emo kids commit suicide, and that's like the percent of the rest of the population that commit suicide. I'm also sick of people thinking that emo boys like to cut themselves.

Since when does being emotional and expressing yourself mean that you are going to express yourself with a bullet or a razor blade?

What is an emoe? I get asked this a lot, and it surprises me every time that someone can come to my site, see pictures of emo people, emo stuff, and still ask me what an emoe is?

The easiest answer I have come up with for these people is "An Emoe is a bird".... This is an emoe:

Emo: Emo Boys and Girls are the new american generation. Kind of like those guys in the 80's with the long hair, skulls and cross bones, and heavy metal music. Or maybe like the hippies of the 70's. Emo Boys and Girls are known for their emotional attitudes and so called "depression". Most emo's are far from depressed. Emo people are very open, they express themselves, and they are not afraid of gay or lesbian tags people may try to put on them. They are very emotional, but they are not afraid of these tags. They express themselves. They are the 2000's version of the 80's emo's and rockers. Emoish people are hard to define, so sorry if this sucks. Either you get it or you don't. If you don't get it and really needed me to define emo, than you will never get it :-P

So I was on technorati yesterday and saw a site called Emo Google. EmoGoogle.com is the emo version of google. It is a cool emo homepage to have if google is too plain for you. The emoish design reminds me of myspace layouts and icons, and it's pretty ingenious. A lot of people seem to like the emo google, so check it out yourself!
The problem is the search that they use is an ad search, and Google's trademark on their name means that EmoGoogle.com is only going to last another month or so before google puts a case on them and takes over the domain and takes the site down. They could get away with the emo google if they were not using google ads and were not trying to trick people into thinking that it was in fact google. Ya... That's right... They will think emo when they are crying because google stole their website! lol I feel bad for them.

I love reading and writing poetry, and most of my own poetry is pretty emo. There are lot's of great emo poems floating around the internet, and there are some really good authors who are not emo themselves, but write poetry that is very dark and emotional. If your looking for an established emo author, check out James Wright or Tina Boukes.

Poetry is almost all emo. Poetry is very emotional, sometimes dark, and very private. It's a doorway into emotion, and vulnerability. Writing poetry can make your cry, reading it can make you cry. There are millions of poets that have written very emo poems in the past, they just are not recognized as emo poems, because like I said, almost all poetry is emo! Emo Cartoons crack me up and the Emo Cartoon master in my eyes is jeff thomas. He has made many of the emo cartoons that you see on the web and his are definetly the funniest and most original. He draws cute little emo guys and emo girls and puts them in stereotypical emo situations. Though most of the cartoons seem to slam the emo generation, they are great none-the-less.

Anyone else into photography? I like taking all kinds of emo ish pictures and stuff. I'm about to go to college and want to do something involving cameras and cameras and graphics. Who knows, maybe I could become some famous emo photographer.

So who is everyones favorite band or artist? Personally I love AFI and Panic At The Disco equally. They are both amazing. i have actually cried many times listening to afi they are so amazing their music opens me up and makes me feel so vulnerable it's like their words and the sound makes my whole body rip open leaving me completely vulnerable and at their mersy!! ehehe I should write a poem about panic at the disco lol!

What does emo mean to you? To me, emo means someone who is emotionally and wears tight pants (hott) and dresses kinda dark. Emo people also listen to cool music like fall out boy, dashboard confessional (hehe atleast I do), Panic! at the disco (i friggin love them), Alexisonfire, etc etcc etc (feel free to chime in ^^^***that makes me want to sing "I write sins not tragedies"***^^ with some cool underground emo bands!)

Being emo is more than just wearing the clothes and listening to emo. Emo people are emo, but there not really too different from everyone else. Be real, do what you feel, and express yourself. Dont wear what everyone else is wearing, be an individual. Show yourself on the outside. Don't just put on what everyone else is wearing, its your life, express your fuc**ing self1!
